Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.) or Geotechnical Engineer Intern (E.I.) (Full Time)

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer Intern (E.I.) at GEC’s main office located in Orlando, FL. As a Project Geotechnical Engineer, you will manage geotechnical engineering projects ranging from private developments to roadway widenings under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer.

• Developing geotechnical proposals.
• Performing site reconnaissance.
• Developing boring plans and managing field operations.
• Soil classification and developing laboratory testing programs.
• Report development, including performing geotechnical analyses.
• Project invoicing.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a focus in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering;
  Master’s Degree a plus.
• Florida Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Capable of performing field work including site reconnaissance and soil classification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and structured, able to work within project constraints and deadlines.
• Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced work environment with an energetic and professional demeanor.
