The Work

Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) Integrated Engineering is looking for a first line leader that develops innovative training and logistics solutions for the Physical Maintenance Training Devices (PMTD) Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the F-35 Training Infrastructure and Product Support (TIPS) organization.

The selected candidate will also support the PMTD IPT by serving as an engineering lead (e.g. CAM, Product Owner, Proposal Lead, Discipline Lead) as well as functional leadership over a team of multi-discipline engineers.

As a key leader within our F-35 Team, you will:
Enable and manage the performance of talented, multi-disciplined engineering teams by setting and clearly communicating organizational vision, expectations, and objectives.
Ensure the integrity of engineering activity by employing both quantitative and qualitative management approaches and compliance with Command Media. Collect and use data to make data-driven decisions.
Actively monitor staffing demand and take action to ensure sufficient supply.
Promote the continual identification and active management of IPT risks and opportunities.
Champion continuous improvement activities, especially those aligning to 1

LMX
Organize and facilitate the personal and career development of team members. Ensure team members are prepared with the training and skills to be successful within their teams. Create and execute organizational training plans.
Partner with Human Resources to promote a "people first" culture and to resolve all personnel-related matters in a timely fashion
Foster a collaborative work environment that values out-of-the-box thinking

This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
5 or more years of technical experience within Systems or Hardware, and/or Software Engineering
Experience coaching, mentoring and developing the critical skills of others
Experience working collaboratively with Program Management, Finance, and Contracts organizations
Experience across the System Development Life Cycle
Experience planning and coordinating engineering development in a team-oriented environment
Understanding of Dev Sec Ops  Practices inclusive of Agile Product Development leveraging Scrum & Kanban

Desired skills

Active Secret Clearance
9 or more years of technical experience within Systems or Hardware, and/or Software Engineering
Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)

Experience with CAM or have a current CAM certification
Experience generating metrics-based Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support
Experience in Systems Engineering, Complex Systems Integration & Test, and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) processes, principles and tools
Experience developing and managing a project budget and schedule, managing risks and opportunities, managing to metrics
Prior customer engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders
Leveraged Agile tenets in the execution of the development of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware, and Test Engineering work products including usage of Atlassian tool suite
Experience leading a team through change
