Reimagine What’s Possible Air Products has an immediate opening for a skilled Site Manager at its Orlando, FL facility. The Site Manager reports to the South Sub-Region Line Manager and leads a diverse team that includes operations supervisors, production operators, on-site generated gases supervisors, liquid bulk delivery drivers, distribution terminal mechanics, and administrative support staff. This role serves as the primary liaison with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, site hosts, community leaders, government officials, regulatory agencies, and multi-functional support teams.

Responsibilities
  • Handle and own the activities of the Facility Operations Team to ensure process safety, worker safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and cost optimization
  • Lead and guide the Facility Operations Team in monitoring the daily operation of the facilities, including reviewing and optimizing energy usage for the plants, and mitigating any plant upsets and emergencies
  • Work with the Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Project Delivery (PDO) teams and be a key member of the Cocoa Project team during the design, build, commissioning and start-up of the new facility
  • Coordinate with the Internal Stakeholders to develop strategic plans for the assets and ensure capital investments and maintenance costs are well handled
  • Support turnaround and shutdown planning and execution through active participation in scope justification and development, and active leadership during the event
  • Coordinate with project engineering and the maintenance team on scope and execution timing for capital/maintenance projects
  • Ensure process safety and worker safety compliance by supporting process hazard analysis (HAZOP/LOPA), leading incident investigations (RCA), owning procedure development and improvement, owning management of change (MOC), ensuring emergency response preparedness, supporting alarm management, and assisting in work scope development and assessment of operability requirements for plant designs
  • Provide development of direct reports and motivation of staff resulting in an engaged, reliable, and competent workforce
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure all Company policies, rules, and guidelines are being followed and administered in a fair and consistent manner
Qualifications
  • An engineering education background would be an asset
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, preferably in Industrial Gas, Refining, and/or Chemicals
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role is required
  • Experience in commissioning and start-up of new plants is a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Proven leadership capability in safety, environmental compliance, quality, reliability, productivity, and employee engagement
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASU plant operations, maintenance coordination, troubleshooting, and reliability practices
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in process safety programs including mechanical integrity, incident investigations (RCA), process hazard analysis (HAZOP/LOPA/OPHR), management of change (MOC), procedure development, and emergency response
