Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Senior Aviation Electrical Manager to join our Aviation Practice, reporting to the Practice Lead, to support the delivery of projects in Orlando, FL.
Your role- Provides technical direction throughout the company within Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs design.
- Engages with the Team toward the production of design projects.
- Establishes technical criteria on projects and provides technical input/direction to project managers and team members.
- Participates in technical quality assurance reviews.
- Assists management in conducting technical project review audits.
- Establishes and disseminates, reviews and updates firmwide professional standards, guidelines and procedures, investigation and design procedures, and technical quality assurance review guidelines for application to project production.
- Coordinates with operational managers to identify staffing needs, deficiencies and opportunities for recruitment.
- Assists in the identification, screening, recruitment and orientation of qualified candidates to fill key vacancies.
- Receives general administrative direction.
- Executes independent decisions and resolves important questions concerning area of expertise, being recognized as a technical authority in his/her field of expertise, on a regional or national basis, both within and outside the company.
- Supervises the technical work of senior professionals.
- Interfaces with senior technical managers and all levels of management throughout the firm.
- Interface with existing and potential clients.
- Represents/defends company's technical work to client, regulatory agencies and others.
- Participates in technical and professional organizations at a prominent leadership level.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineering Licensure is required, including ability to obtain in multiple states.
- Twenty (20) years' experience working in Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs designs at airports.
- Strong knowledge of FAA and ICAO criteria.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
- Valid State Drivers License.
