We are hiring for Flight Simulator Hardware Engineer in Orlando, FL
Schedule: 4/10, 1st Shift
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Flight Simulator Hardware Engineer to support the development and integration of FAA Level D Full Flight Simulators for an Air & Commercial Solutions (ACS) program. The engineer will be responsible for hardware design, system integration, requirements development, and technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, avionics, motion, and facility interfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop hardware solutions for power/control systems, motion platforms, visual systems, avionics interfaces, and ancillary equipment
. - Integrate simulator hardware with existing facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical distribution, grounding, and fire/smoke monitoring systems
. - Develop CREO layouts, detailed drawings, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and integration test articles
. - Create hardware architectures and define system/subsystem interfaces.
- Derive hardware and lower-tier requirements from customer and system-level requirements.
- Build BOMs, parts, assemblies, and engineering documentation
. - Support major technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
. - Lead and coordinate Hardware Engineers, procurement, manufacturing, production planning, and suppliers.
- Perform design reviews, approvals, tolerance analysis, and non-conformance activities through PLM tools.
- Apply Hardware Engineering processes within an Agile development environment

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field
. - Experience developing flight simulation hardware or flight training systems.
- Strong experience with mechanical hardware design and engineering principles
. - Hands‑on experience with CREO and detailed engineering drawings
. - Experience with hardware architecture, interfaces, requirements derivation, BOMs, and PLM processes
. - Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and system-level tolerance analysis.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Experience supporting formal engineering reviews such as SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR
