Job Description You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missile sand Fire Control (MFC).Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United States and allied militaries. What You Will Be Doing As the Electrical Engineer will support the design, development, integration, test, and production of electrical hardware and subsystems for defense programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the main technical contact for assigned hardware deliverables throughout development and production.
- Providing technical leadership to subsystem suppliers, ensuring requirements flow down and hardware meets all specifications.
- Owning hardware disposition through Material Review Board Engineer (MRBE) processes.
- Leading yield investigations, failure‑review boards, and root‑cause analyses, and driving corrective‑action implementation.
- Creating and iterating electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring harnesses, and interconnect designs.
- Performing electrical testing, firmware/FPGA verification, and electromechanical packaging reviews.
- Leading weekly supplier meetings and communicating clear status updates to program leadership, Lockheed Martin, and government customers.
- Producing concise technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, test reports, and verification records.
- Assisting with technical proposals and risk assessments for new initiatives.
- Mentoring junior engineers and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team environment.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university;
Master's degree preferred - Minimum 3 years of professional experience with electrical hardware design or a related discipline
- Experience in electrical hardware design for development and/or production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
- Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA)
- Experience troubleshooting hardware like CCAs, harnesses, etc.
- Strong hands-on skills with electrical/electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, DMMs, automated test equipment)
- Proven background providing production line support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools
- Experience working technical proposals
- Experience with signal integrity design tools such as Hyperlynx
