WDI Project Controls Estimating Intern, Spring 2027

The internship is from January 2027 to June 2027 and will be located in Orlando, Florida.
As an Estimating intern, you will prepare estimates for facility, shows, and rides throughout project life cycles and work under the direction of a Project Senior or Principal Estimator. You will:
- Review and incorporate historical cost data into estimates
- Assist in preparing estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of a scope of work
- Maintain files for all working documents and data as backup to estimate figures
- Assist in evaluating design documentation and provide trend estimates and analyses against current EFC/Budget estimate during the design phase
Required qualifications and skills include:
- Working knowledge of estimating methodologies and cost management principles
- Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel for data analysis
- Ability to work successfully with all levels of management and project team members to achieve team goals
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from construction drawings
Preferred qualifications include:
- Relevant experience supporting project estimates, cost planning, and financial analysis
- Experience with dashboard modeling, reporting, and data visualization tools, including Power BI
- Proficiency with Power Query and data transformation techniques
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and/or Autodesk Forma for project collaboration, planning, and data-driven decision-making
Education:
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring Construction Management/Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering.
Eligibility requirements and program information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Additional information:
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship

The pay rate for this role in California and Florida is $31 per hour for undergraduate students, $36 per hour for graduate students. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
