- Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
- Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
- Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
- Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
- Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Awarded Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- 10 or more years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a defense industry production environment developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience with manufacturing and building hardware from engineering design products
- Must have the ability to analyze electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Microsoft Office suite experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Generates manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, or standard operating procedures
- Expert problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience identifying, designing, and implementing custom tooling/jigs/fixtures for hardware manufacturing
- Coaches and provides technical guidance to early career engineers
- Uses Creo and Zuken
- Uses SAP, including Apriso and MPMLink, (QNotes, Routings, Bills of material) or a related manufacturing system
- Applies design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts
- Implements manufacturing processes for training systems and test equipment
- Applies knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques and implements process improvements
- Works effectively in a team environment across manufacturing, and engineering, and program management
- Multitasks in support of multiple concurrent programs and initiatives
- Advance experience with Project/Product cost estimation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements evolving while design maturity is increasing
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills
- Self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results
- Detail-oriented due to the nature of electrical & electromechanical assemblies
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
