Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you will execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities, supporting internal customers and partners through timely communication, visibility, and tactical execution. Working within a highly motivated, collaborative team, you will address daily operational challenges while partnering with global commodity management teams on long-term improvement initiatives. You will develop expertise in expediting, strategic negotiation, supply chain performance management, and procurement execution, with a strong focus on creating and issuing RFQ packages, identifying and engaging suppliers, negotiating quotes, resolving supply chain challenges, and placing and managing purchase orders.

You will regularly collaborate with external suppliers and cross-functional teams, including design engineering, project management, global commodity management, cost value engineering, order management, and quality, making strong customer focus essential to success in this role.

• Leading and coordinating the purchase of parts and components.
• Pulling, compiling, and analyzing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Review, analyze and optimize applicable project data.
• Develop strategies for your supply base to optimize performance and savings opportunities.
• Create, negotiate and manage Supplier contracts to achieve Siemens Energy Business requirements.
• Quoting parts and components.

• Bachelor's of Science in Business or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Experience with SAP PD2/OPP.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• MS Tools with advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
