Systems Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Systems Test Engineer for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integrating and testing in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems. The role develops comprehensive test plans and procedures, coordinates system testing activities, analyzes test results, and performs regression testing to verify and validate fixes.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience with software development, including C or C++;
  Lab View preferred
• 4–6 years of experience with production
• 6+ years of experience with test equipment design
• 6+ years of experience with electronic testing
• 6+ years of experience with mechanical testing
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive system and subsystem test plans and procedures
• Experience analyzing test results and preparing evaluation reports
• Experience writing discrepancy reports and performing integration regression testing
• Ability to establish functional and technical specifications and standards
• Ability to define input/output parameters and address hardware/software interface problems

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Lab View/Lab Windows CVI and NI in both development and maintenance capacities on complex systems
• Proficiency in C and C++ software skills
• Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware integration expertise, including switches, VXI/PXI chassis, EO testing, and automation
• Automated test equipment development and maintenance experience in a high-volume production environment

What You'll Do

• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and testing solutions
• Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
• Solve hardware/software interface problems and define input/output parameters
• Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability
• Develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations
• Analyze test results and prepare subsystem and system-level evaluation reports
• Verify and validate system performance
• Write discrepancy reports
• Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems
