Micro Vision’s core technology, initially developed for the automotive industry, accelerates advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving. Building on experience in the military sector, our target offerings include semi- and fully autonomous airborne and terrestrial sensor systems. Our solid-state lidar technologies, including FMCW and MEMS-based long-range lidar and flash-based short-range lidar, are integrated with onboard perception software to deliver safe mobility at the speed of life.

To strengthen our team at the Redmond location, we are looking for a Senior System Test Engineer as a key member of Micro Vision's Systems Engineering team. You will collaborate with various technical teams to design and take LiDAR products to market.

Responsibilities
  • Develop system-level verification plans, test cases, and test procedures from product and system requirements.
  • Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and verification methods for functional, performance, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Execute verification and validation activities throughout EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and verification results.
  • Develop automated test scripts, tools, and data analysis frameworks.
  • Improve test efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
  • Support development and maintenance of system test stations and validation infrastructure.
  • Analyze large data sets generated during system testing.
  • Generate technical reports and present findings to engineering teams.
  • Track performance metrics and verification status against program milestones.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in system test, integration, validation, or product verification. Experience validating complex electro-optical, embedded, or automotive systems.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Systems engineering principles
    • Verification and validation methodologies
    • Root-cause analysis
    • Requirements-based testing
    • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and environmental chambers
    • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages for automation and data analysis
