Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?
Designs major components or major portions of functional systems for aerospace and defense applications.
Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations through design activities.
Investigates design factors including ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specifications, and cost.
Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development for integration.
Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.
Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
Identifies design errors, omissions, and deficiencies, and recommends revisions or improvements in design layout.
Performs Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design using Creo Parametric for component and connector selection and layout.
Creates and releases IDX files and resulting drawings and documentation using Windchill.
Applies knowledge of Zuken, IPC standards, and aerospace or defense product cycles for CCA design.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of experience designing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) using Creo Parametric.
3+ years of hands-on CCA design experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Zuken, IPC standards, and aerospace or defense product cycles.
Experience with connector and component selection and layout on CCA.
Experience creating and releasing IDX files and design documentation using Windchill.
Experience checking completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, and conformity to standards and specifications.
Ability to produce high quality design documentation and guide test and integration activities.
Preferred:
Harness design experience using Zuken E3.
