Standard Job Description You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Associate Manager for the Air Dominance team, overseeing a group of three‑to‑four Manufacturing Engineers across multiple sites. As the Manufacturing Engineer Associate Manager, you will lead Make/Buy studies, spearhead cross‑functional projects, and tailor solutions to each customer’s variant requirements. You will also oversee non‑recurring engineering efforts during product start‑up, including affordability and producibility assessments, tooling and fixture design, machine‑automation programming, and the configuration of manufacturing bills of materials for optimal manufacturability.

• Leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers to investigate and resolve design, producibility, and assembly challenges.
• Conducting Make/Buy analyses and driving cross‑functional projects that meet variant‑specific requirements.
• Managing non‑recurring engineering (NRE) activities during product start‑up, including cost‑reduction and producibility assessments.
• Designing tooling, fixtures, and automation programs to support new product introductions.
• Configuring manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) for optimal manufacturability.
• Utilizing Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) tools to evaluate process readiness, develop corrective plans, and ensure successful product launches.

• B.S. in relative Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial, etc)
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the areas of missile manufacturing, process development, and testing
• Experience with manufacturing tooling design and fabrication
• Hands on experience in the design of manufacturing processes, work Instructions, equipment installation, assembly and material handling
• Leading recurring and non-recurring Manufacturing Engineering activities and personnel to meet technical schedule and cost commitments
• Drive internal initiatives such as Process Improvements, Lean, and Manufacturing Technology enhancements and by improving the business processes used to execute Recurring and Non-recurring support
• Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and across all disciplines (e.g. technical and non-technical staff, external customers, program management)-The successful candidate will also possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills in one or more of the following disciplines - mechanical engineering, optical engineering, electrical engineering, metrology engineering, and/or material science - and be able to adapt those skills in support of manufacturing within the programs supported
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Extensive Change Board experience
• Working and in-depth knowledge of SAP
• Ability to manage manpower and work scope across multiple manufacturing sites

Demonstrated ability to exercise business acumen with appropriate capital and facility planning, justification and execution
