responsibilities
  • lead all aspects of daily entertainment costuming operations, including laundering, pre-setting, organizing, maintaining, and fabricating costumes.
  • create detailed cast and crew schedules/line grids for daily park operation and input them into the team member management digital platform.
  • review and approve cast and crew daily schedules, including schedule changes or deviations.
  • follow and maintain training protocols and standard operating procedures in your assigned venue/area, collaborating with your manager to update and develop these as needed.
  • perform administrative responsibilities such as budget tracking, punch lists, training schedules, production archives, production calendars & timelines, power point presentations, audition support, kronos, seeds, work orders, etc.
  • maintain sea quality and integrity for assigned entertainment product.
  • assist in installation/remounting of new or changing show/performance product while maintaining clear communication with internal and external departments.
  • train, supervise, evaluate, coach, and develop the cast/crew in your assigned venue/area and maintain ambassador training records.
  • track and document positive and negative behaviors, administer feedback sessions and evaluations promptly.
  • develop and maintain safety inspections and procedures for assigned venue(s)/area(s) (green tag procedure, injury reduction plans, msds sheets, emergency action plans, ambassador injury reports, monthly safety inspections).
  • consistently practice safe work habits, reporting unsafe situations to management.
  • act as point‑of‑contact in your respective areas for internal and external departments and outside contractors.
  • perform various tasks, including attending meetings, development classes, monitoring team schedules and hours, updating ambassador files and responding to email in a timely manner, creating/maintaining personal & venue calendars, assisting guests as necessary.
  • participate in the entertainment duty phone coverage program, track call‑ins, field questions pertaining to the entertainment department.
  • demonstrate consistent courtesy and professionalism in all work aspects with all ambassadors and guests.
  • support creative, pre‑production, rehearsal, and operation entertainment offerings as needed.
  • perform other duties as assigned.
qualifications
  • high school diploma or equivalent. College degree in theater or equivalent experience preferred.
  • minimum one (1) year theme park experience preferred.
  • minimum one (1) year production experience in media (theater, television, radio, motion pictures, dance, recording studio, or visual arts).
  • experience in entertainment, costuming, or stage management preferred.
  • demonstrated ability to lead a team and work well with others, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • strong computer skills with emphasis in microsoft office (word, power point, excel).
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of english.
  • ability to walk and stand for long periods in extreme weather conditions; flexible schedule (weekdays, weekends, evenings, holidays).
  • ability to multitask, maintain positive attitude for excellent guest service.
  • comfortable climbing onto platforms and catwalks for inspections/maintenance checks.
  • team player, effective communication and relationship building with internal and external ambassadors.
  • consistent safe work habits, use of ppe, lifting, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • willingness to comply with all sea grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • ability to complete all legal, company, and department training requirements and certifications on time.
