Spring 2027 Program Dates:
Approximately January 2027 – April 2027
Interns will support the ATI Interactives Design Team in ideation, development, and testing of interactive experiences for themed entertainment. Interns will gain hands‑on experience working on active projects in the Creative Studio, as well as gain working knowledge of interactive, gaming, and theatrical applications in themed entertainment industry.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Participate in blue sky brainstorming sessions
- Learn how to clarify and communicate immersive experiences
- Assist with development of prototypical interactive experiences
- Participate in presenting interactive program pitches
Work with the team to develop and host interactive playtests with other Universal Team Members
Recommended to include a portfolio of concept art and sketching work examples – if available, include a web address with your resume.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Experience in interactive development (games, apps, themed entertainment, interactive theater)
- Willingness to learn new skills and work in diverse disciplines
- Preferred majors include:
Game design, Themed entertainment, Theater technologies, or similar. - Education in game development OR theme park development
- Experience in brainstorming/collaborative environments
- Familiarity with modern game engines
- Unity and/or Unreal Engine experience
- Prototyping Experience
- Concept Art and sketching experience
- This internship will be an in‑person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable.
