Provides operational support of Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) and venue management by upholding and reinforcing company and venue specific policies and procedures. Serves as a key expert for a specific show area, maintaining complete knowledge of their house/stage, technical components and talent, and be able to address concerns and properly disseminate information to the appropriate teams. Supports the Stage Manager in operating their house/stage and complete tasks and assignments critical to the daily operation of the venue.
Role requires knowledge of the entertainment venue, technical entertainment, and interaction with both UDX and contracted talent.
- Performs all operational duties supporting entertainment operations vides operational oversight alongside Management, maintaining current lines of communication with operational, technical, and guest experience partners and Performers. Serves as first point of contact for Performer requests and concerns. Monitors guest flow as assigned and partners with Guest Experience Operations for operational efficiencies.
- Performs opening and/or closing duties for the house/stage including:
Checking in cast and crew, conducting daily start-up meetings, handling all staffing issues resulting from Team Member’s callouts, monitoring start-up/shut down procedures, communicating operational readiness or staffing/technical problems with partnering departments, adjusting staffing levels, grids, and rotations to accommodate house/stage attendance and/or business needs, and compiling daily operational information for distribution. Ensures adherence to local regulations including but not limited to dress time, break times, meal periods, and non-performance periods. - Responsible for the safety and physical well‑being of Performers while on set. Supports guest and performer safety by maintaining a clear show area for the duration of performance. Observes and monitors performance and backstage areas to ensure highest standards of show quality, guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction and safety are being achieved. Routinely completes safety checks and walks of all houses/stages or show areas to confirm show elements are operational and adhering to safety standards set by EHS, including access to and utilization of required PPE.
- Addresses and follows up on any observed show quality, guest or safety issues utilizing the necessary departments and Stage Manager on duty to expedite a resolution.
- Trains and coaches performers for the daily operation, conducts daily shift meetings and performer safety spot talks, and documents performance utilizing the established observation reports, providing feedback accordingly. Communicates and reinforces company and venue specific expectations of behavior, performance, and safety standards. Supports Team Member feedback discussions for recognition and operational performance improvement.
- Ensures daily staffing levels and performer placement are adjusted based on team member call‑ins. Responsible for running overtime reports, labor reports and proper UKG coding of daily assignments for each Team Member. Utilizes these systems to confirm each performer has completed required trainings prior to performance.
- Supports the execution of special events and projects, such as rehearsals and horror activation events, ensuring the adherence of client needs and providing communication with all necessary counterparts within Universal Horror Unleashed.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge in theatrical or immersive entertainment is preferred.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Stage Management, Entertainment or related field preferred.
Experience1+ year of experience working in professional entertainment is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
