Stilt Walker Audition

Seasonal Position

At Sea World, we’re passionate about caring for animals. In fact, we’ve already rescued over 40,000 animals (and counting!). We want to help bring joy, excitement, and lasting memories to people from around the world. We’re seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard‑working individuals to become our Ambassadors and play an important part on our incredible team.

• Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
• Time: 8:30 AM (check‑in with a 9:00 AM audition) or 8PM (check‑in with a 8:30PM audition)
• Location: Nautilus Theater – Sea World Orlando
• All candidates should park in the Ambassador parking lot located across from Discovery Cove and come through Security Gate 3.

• Must have previous experience walking on stilts. Candidates should be able to:
  • Walk confidently on stilts without assistance
  • Start, stop, and turn smoothly
  • Navigate crowds safely
  • Maintain balance while interacting with guests
  • Pose naturally for photographs
  • Demonstrate awareness of surroundings and safety
• Please bring proper shoes and padding. (Stilts will be provided)
• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in.

• Looking for seasonal Ambassadors for a variety of offerings during our Halloween and Christmas seasons.
• Spooktacular Event runs select dates from August 29th through November 1st
  • Availability for all Spooktacular event dates is highly preferred, but must have at least Sat+Sun availability.
• Howl‑O‑Scream event runs select dates from September 11th through October 31st
  • Availability for all HOS event dates is highly preferred, but must have at least two consecutive days of availability (Fri+Sat or Sat+Sun), plus have availability on either Oct 30th or Oct 31st.
• Must be available for rehearsals which will be discussed during the audition.

• Perform safely and confidently on stilts for scheduled performance sets.
• Engage with guests through meet‑and‑greet, photo opportunities, and interactive entertainment.
• Stay in character throughout assigned performance times.
• Wear costumes, wigs, masks, or themed attire as required.
• Work collaboratively with stage managers, performer leadership, and fellow performers.
• Maintain a positive, approachable, and professional attitude with guests of all ages.
• Follow all safety procedures regarding stilt performance and guest interaction.
• Care for costumes and performance equipment.

• Previous experience walking on stilts is required.
• Strong improvisation and non‑verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable performing outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent balance, endurance, and physical fitness.
• Ability to remain in costume for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred.
• Experience in entertainment, theater, festivals, or theme parks is a plus.
