Lighting Designer

Impulse Creates is growing our freelance team.

We’re looking for experienced Lighting Directors / Programmers to join us on projects ranging from corporate events and live entertainment to full-ship cruise charters around the world.

We need people who are great behind an MA3
, but aren’t afraid to step away from the console and jump in. Our lighting team is involved from load-in through show and strike, and we’re looking for people who take ownership and help make the whole production better.

• Strong
  grandMA3 programming and operation
  experience
• Professional live event, concert, or touring experience
• Comfortable taking a lighting concept or existing design and bringing it to life
• Solid knowledge of DMX, sACN, networking, patching, and troubleshooting
• Willing to jump in on load-in, focus, setup, rehearsals, and strike
• Calm and resourceful when things change - they will
• Someone who works well with the entire production team and is genuinely good to have onsite
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, including multi-day cruise projects
• Valid passport

Bonus points: Media server experience (Resolume, Green Hippo, disguise, etc.), LED/video knowledge, Vectorworks, and cruise ship experience.

We’re less interested in someone who only wants to sit behind a console and more interested in well-rounded production people who happen to be really good at lighting.
