We provide daily animal care including feeding, grooming, washing, working, and cleaning the stables. As well as additional animal training, environmental enrichment, and mental stimulation and report on animal health to the leadership team. We provide outstanding Guest Service while educating Guests on our animal collection and ensuring the safety of our Guests while working around equine. Physical farm chores include loading, unloading, and checking equipment of the Guests along trail rides.
Ranch Hands perform repetitive heavy lifting of 50-70 lbs including overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling, in addition to working with hay, dust, wood shavings, grains, and a variety of animals.
Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum one (1) year of experience working with horses safely including riding, and/or driving single and multiple horse teams Experience saddling and harnessing horses and ponies and the initiative to handle unforeseen circumstances Experience driving trucks and trailers to transport horses Handling cleaning chemicals and supplies Must possess unrestricted work authorization Must consent to the Disney Look appearance guidelines Able to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) with full availability for any shift, any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Some shifts may start or end as early as 5:00 am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles. Must have reliable transportation to/from work
