Description
You will be the Proposal Analyst Staff for the Santa Barbara Focal plane team. Our team is responsible for delivering precise, compliant proposals that win business and drive mission‑critical technology.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Proposal Analyst Staff you will be responsible for coordinating all estimating and proposal activities, analyzing inputs and historic data, and shaping pricing strategies that support successful bids.
Responsibilities- Lead the end‑to‑end proposal process, working closely with program managers, capture managers, and functional leadership to ensure compliance and timely submission.
- Develop cost estimates, pricing analyses, and presentation materials for senior‑level briefings and approvals.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to advise on competitive pricing strategies and bid positioning.
- Design and deliver estimating training for Santa Barbara staff and champion LMX estimating initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to formulate bid strategies and comprehensive business plans.

Security & ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to read and understand requirements set forth in Request for Proposals (RFP)
- Ability to present complex cost positions to management for proposal authorization
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR)
- Demonstrated ability to work multiple projects concurrently
- Strong working knowledge of FAR
- Experience with Lockheed Martin/MFC systems, policies and procedures
- Experience with SAP
- Demonstrated ability to lead a proposal team that generates and submits compliant Government proposals
- Experience creating long‑term business plans and tactical execution strategies
- Familiarity with IR industry and products

Ability to Work Remotely: Part‑time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045.
