This role supports the delivery of finance transformation initiatives across the organization, helping to improve finance systems, processes, and ways of working. Acting as a bridge between Finance, Technology, and external partners, the position plays a key role in translating business needs into effective system solutions and ensuring those solutions are successfully implemented and adopted.
The role combines project-based change delivery with hands-on system administration and operational support. It contributes to system enhancements, supports critical finance activities during peak periods, assists with integrations and acquisitions, and helps ensure finance systems operate in line with governance and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze finance-related business challenges and develop practical system and process solutions
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
- Support the design and implementation of changes to finance systems and processes
- Coordinate and support system testing activities, including user acceptance testing
- Develop and deliver training materials to support adoption of new systems and processes
- Work closely with finance stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver change initiatives
- Build strong working relationships with technology and data teams supporting finance platforms
- Support the ongoing operation of core finance systems, including acting as a finance system administrator
- Provide operational support to finance teams during critical periods such as period-end close
- Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities and the migration of legacy data into new systems
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required to support the effective operation of the finance function
- Support sound financial and operational controls
- Act with appropriate consideration for customer interests
- Adhere to applicable sanctions, financial crime, and regulatory requirements
- Follow internal policies related to ethics, governance, and whistleblowing
- Where applicable, support principles designed to deliver fair outcomes for customers
- Working knowledge of finance operations within the general insurance sector
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4
HANA - Understanding of financial operational and reporting processes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid working environment
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Demonstrated experience working on projects or structured change activities
- Hands-on experience with SAP in a finance systems or finance administration role
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or enhancements, including process design, requirements definition, testing, and end-user training
