Position Responsibilities
- Prepare Sales & Use tax work papers, tax returns, tax payments, and journal entries
- Coordinate Sales & Use tax reporting with 3rd party provider
- Gather audit documentation, prepare audit work papers, identify and research audit issues
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for accrued Sales & Use tax and other miscellaneous tax liability accounts
- Prepare and file federal and state Excise Tax returns, ensuring compliance and timely submission while analyzing related tax liabilities
- Research various tax issues, prepare Sales & Use tax matrices, and respond to tax questions from the various businesses
- Analyze and resolve notices and correspondence from various state and local tax authorities
- Other projects or duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 to 4 plus years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree with 5 to 7 plus years of specific experience
- Master’s Degree or Certified Public Accounant (CPA)
