Director of Accounting

We’re partnering with a growing organization to identify a Director of Accounting who will lead accounting operations, strengthen processes, and support a business in scale mode. This is a highly visible role working closely with the CFO and cross-functional leadership.

• Lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Oversee multi-entity consolidations and ensure accuracy across entities
• Manage cost accounting and inventory processes within a distribution environment
• Own audit and tax processes, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors and advisors
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and overall financial governance
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy
• Support Net Suite optimization, automation, and system enhancements
• Partner with operations and supply chain to improve cost visibility and margins
• Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and support budgeting/forecasting efforts
• Support M&A integration and help scale the finance function
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including Controller-level leadership
• Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution a plus
• Strong multi-entity and consolidation experience
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and drive operational improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
