Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Accountant. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make their mark in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment within the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and trust account statement reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
- Manage and oversee preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non‑routine reporting transactions.
- Respond to inquiries from the director of finance, firm‑wide manager, and other finance and company‑wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and the like.
- Work with the director of finance to ensure a clean and timely year‑end audit.
- Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting in the hospitality industry.
- Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for fixed assets.
- Adept at planning, organizing, and managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
