Westgate Resorts is seeking an experienced Property Controller to lead all accounting functions for our resort properties, including Rooms Division, Food & Beverage (F&B), and Retail operations
.

In this high-impact role, you’ll partner closely with resort leadership and corporate accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, asset protection, and operational efficiency
. This position plays a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making at the property level.

What You Will Do
  • Lead all accounting functions for resort operations, F&B, and retail
  • Maintain accuracy of general ledger, financial statements, and reconciliations
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting on month-end close and reporting
  • Review and present monthly P&L statements and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Oversee daily financial reporting and accuracy
  • Reconcile cash, bank deposits, POS transactions, and credit card activity
  • Safeguard company assets and investigate discrepancies
  • Participate in daily operations and leadership meetings
  • Support departments with financial guidance and decision-making
  • Review AP, payroll expense allocations, and financial reports
  • Analyze labor, occupancy, and F&B performance metrics
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and revenue tracking
  • Conduct cash audits and inventory reviews
  • Manage accounts receivable aging and collections oversight
  • Support forecasting and trend analysis for operational planning
  • Assist in developing annual operating and capital budgets
  • Provide financial insights to drive cost savings and revenue growth
  • Support HOA/POA financial reporting and compliance requirements
  • Participate in annual audits and owner reporting
  • Supervise and develop property accounting staff
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance management
  • Partner with department leaders to improve financial literacy and accountability

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7–10+ years of accounting experience (hospitality, hotels, resort, or timeshare strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • GAAP accounting principles
    • Financial reporting and analysis
    • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, analysis)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g.,
    Oracle, SAP, or similar
    )
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced resort environment
  • Hospitality, resort, or timeshare accounting background
  • Experience overseeing multi-department financial operations (Rooms, F&B, Retail)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Financial leadership & business partnering
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to influence operational decisions through data
