Position: Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor - Central Florida Market

Job Overview

Bank of America, in partnership with Merrill, seeks a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFS‑Advisor) who will advise affluent and high‑net‑worth clients on achieving their financial goals. The role includes training, mentorship, and a clear path toward full advisory status within Merrill Wealth Management.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and guide clients on how to achieve their financial goals.
  • Develop relationships, review investment goals, and prepare investment recommendations aligned with client objectives.
  • Use personal investing tools and resources to support client needs.
  • Participate in client reviews and presentations, confidently evaluating financial goals and recommending advisory strategies.
  • Leverage full suite of financial solutions (core banking, investment & Life Priority solutions) to meet client needs.
  • Build a strong referral network and engage partners across the business to grow client acquisition.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including academy training and mentorship.
  • Operate in an Elite Growth Practice, managing own practice and marketing oneself effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with the SAFE Act: register and submit to background check and registration; keep registration in good standing.
Qualifications
  • Current Series 7 and 66 licenses (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66).
  • At least two years of experience in the financial services or sales environment with goal attainment, including one year in the investment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Self‑starter who manages time and capacity, sets and achieves goals, and prioritizes tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration, and communication skills with all client types.
  • Thorough regulatory due diligence and ability to incorporate this into client strategies.
  • Proficiency with computers and multitasking ability in demanding environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field preferred.
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP or CRPC and/or insurance licenses are desired.
