Location:
Orlando, FL. Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the financial operations of the company within the hospitality sector.
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
- Act as the senior reviewer of all financial statements and reports, providing detailed analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
- Provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
- Provide operational support, partnering with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, and IT to align financial and operational strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
- Proven experience in managing own accounting, leading month-end close, acting as a senior reviewer, leading annual budget, and providing insights into financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams, driving performance, and delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant IT systems.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, with a history of driving enhancements in accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation.
- Experience partnering with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, IT, and other key stakeholders to align financial and operational strategies.
