Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting functions for national operation with recent expansion into Canada and LATAM.
- Direct and supervise internal accountants who perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks.
- Participate in the generation of timely and accurate monthly financial and management reporting.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Ensure that accounting, control, audit and administrative duties are performed effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the US, Canada, and Latin America regions.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision‑making.
- Utilize the ERP system to streamline financial processes, reporting, and data analysis.
- Train and guide finance team members in effectively utilizing the ERP system for financial reporting and analysis, as well as monthly reporting into HFM.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Create comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the executive leadership team as needed.
- Ensure all internal and Group deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, required.
- 8+ years progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong accounting background required including robust knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, IFRS standards, management reporting and financial KPI monitoring.
- Strong expertise in financial management, including experience in Quick Books and/or SAP is required.
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and some knowledge in international accounting standards.
- Excellent financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and continuous improvement process skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel.
Demonstrates expertise in financial management, accounting principles, and strategic planning, with a strong focus on financial reporting and analysis. Proficient in utilizing ERP systems for streamlining financial processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
