As the Manager, Fraud Management you will lead SCCU’s Fraud Management team in protecting member assets and reducing deposit and loan losses through effective fraud prevention, early detection, thorough investigations, and compliant reporting.

We prioritize internal promotions and offer on-the-job training. - Leads a team of Fraud Management Team Members to ensure effective measures and monitoring are in place to protect member assets, reduce Credit Union losses, and comply with all regulations. Develops, improves, and maintains the performance measurement process for these positions ensuring that the primary duties of each position are measured and managed.
- Oversees the daily operations of the Fraud Management team to ensure timely, efficient and effective prevention or detection of deposit and loan fraud. Ensures timely disclosure of detected fraud, as appropriate, to Management and Legal Counsel in order to minimize financial and reputational risk to the Credit Union and ensure appropriate escalation as necessary.
- Prepares accurate and timely periodic and ad-hoc reporting for Management and the Board on Fraud Management activities.
- Recommends and implements changes to processes which maintain compliance and streamline workflows utilizing automation whenever possible. Updates all policies and procedures, as necessary, and communicates changes effectively. Ensures consistency at all times between documented procedures and actual processing. Adheres to change control reporting and monitoring.
- Responsible for creating and participating in training for the department as well as the rest of the credit union on all things related to Financial Fraud outside of BSA.
- Works effectively with government agencies such as the Secret Service, FBI, IRS and community law enforcement agencies in SCCU markets. Ensures that Team Members partner effectively with agencies in the prevention of fraud and in the research and follow up of fraudulent activity.
5 - 8 years prior experience in a financial institution, including prior leadership experience. Fraud prevention/detection/investigation and compliance responsibilities required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required, plus additional course work (CFCS, ABA, etc.) gained through industry related or financial institution sponsored courses.
- Starting Salary: $99,000 - $104,850 annually.
- Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus.

This position is hybrid with two days per week required in office. - Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m.
