Responsibilities and QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field from an accredited institution. CPA or master’s degree preferred.
- Seven (7) years of accounting, finance, or budget experience to include three (3) years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Experience in a school district or other governmental agency using governmental accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, and evaluate professional staff.
- Experience using financial, HRIS or budget software comparable to SAP preferred.
The incumbent is considered to be “essential personnel” during an emergency and can be subject to being held over or called back to a district location at all times.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to interpret and enforce school board and administrative rules; ability to analyze data and communicate the information; working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets; working knowledge of position control systems. Knowledge of and commitment to decentralized decision-making and accountability for results. Knowledge of teaching and learning processes. Knowledge of organization and management theory and practice.
