- Annual Compensation: $76,892.20 (includes shift differential and holiday pay)
- Additional Laundry Allowance: $780 annually
- Employee Health Insurance: Paid in full; dependent premiums vary, with 83% to 89% employer-paid based on plan
- State Education/Training Incentive: Up to $1,560 annually

- Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for out-of-state officers relocating to Florida
- Training Reimbursement: $1,000 for equivalency of training certification class
Performs general duty police work enforcing laws and ordinances, protecting life and property, preventing, detecting, and investigating crimes, and maintaining law and order.

Patrols assigned areas, enforces laws, investigates crimes, serves subpoenas and warrants, escorts prisoners, directs traffic, and responds to emergencies. Employees may be required to perform duties not explicitly listed.
Qualifications and Skills- Basic knowledge of police principles and practices, with a Certificate of Completion from the Florida Criminal Justice Standards & Training.
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies, establish effective relationships, and meet physical requirements.
- Ability to provide emergency medical care as trained.
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferred:
Florida law enforcement experience. - Minimum:
Three years of law enforcement, corrections, or military experience; valid Florida driver’s license; meet Florida standards.
Mainly patrol work in vehicles or on scene, limited office work. Call-back duty is essential, with pay for time worked during off-hours. Shift work includes 8 or 12-hour rotations.
Additional InformationApplicants must pass physical, drug, polygraph, background, and psychological tests. Additional requirements include hepatitis B vaccination or declination, and signing an employment agreement if hired full-time.
