JOB SUMMARY:
This Collections Specialist Supervisor – Revenue Administrator III (SES) is responsible for managing the collection process within the General Tax Administration Program’s Receivables Management, Field Operations – Collection Process located at the Orlando Service Center. Duties include prioritizing and allocating workloads, managing vacancies, analyzing workflow, performing cost/benefit analyses, implementing process improvements, creating and maintaining reports and presentations, and overseeing a work unit by establishing expectations, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and fostering open communication.
The incumbent also contacts taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities, recommends compromises, makes corrections, and collects tax, penalty, interest, and fees due to the State of Florida.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue in the General Tax Administration Program.
- Three years of experience working in the General Tax Administration Program’s Receivables Management Collection Process.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- Travel locally to taxpayers’ business locations; occasional overnight travel may be required for training. Travel is conducted by personal means and reimbursed under agency policy.
- Overtime, including weekends, may be required.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,150.13 monthly / $61,801.56 annually.
