The Florida Department of Revenue’s General Tax Administration program collects revenue for state infrastructure, schools, and environmental protection. The Collections Specialist Supervisor will manage workload allocation, identify and analyze workflow, conduct cost/benefit analyses, implement process improvements, produce reports, and manage a work unit. The incumbent will also contact taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities, recommend compromises, correct errors, and collect tax, penalty, interest, and fees due to the State of Florida.
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue in the General Tax Administration Program.
- Three years of experience in the General Tax Administration Program's Receivables Management Collection Process.
- This position travels locally to taxpayers’ business locations and occasionally requires overnight travel for training. All travel costs are reimbursed according to agency policy.
- This position requires overtime, which may include weekends.
The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,150.13 monthly / $61,801.56 annually.
