Compliance Officer
This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing complaints related to Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes. The Compliance Officer will communicate with complainants, determine jurisdiction based on Florida statutes, document case activities, and ensure complaints are processed and closed accurately.
The Compliance Officer will investigate complaints by reviewing supporting documentation and applicable Florida statutes to determine whether the Division has jurisdiction. The position requires communicating findings to complainants, documenting all actions, and maintaining accurate records using agency systems.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Contact complainants to discuss complaint details and gather additional information.
- Review and interpret Florida statutes to determine complaint validity and jurisdiction.
- Analyze complaints and determine the appropriate resolution.
- Communicate case status and findings to complainants.
- Prepare written correspondence for supervisor approval.
- Provide referrals or resources when appropriate.
- Close cases by entering the appropriate codes, statutes, and activities in Versa.
- Document all case actions in the OnBase system.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Deliver excellent customer service while handling public inquiries.

Experience required includes:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with the public in a professional environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing complaints.
- Minimum 1 year of experience interpreting Florida statutes.
Required:
