Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children provides compassionate care to children, teenagers and young adults of Central Florida for more than 30 years. Located on the downtown Orlando campus, the hospital includes 156 licensed beds, specialized care for children, and the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center, offering trauma care as the pediatric site of the Orlando Health ORMC Level One Trauma Center.

Summary
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy pharmacist to perform the basic pharmacist procedures required by the assigned area consistent with scientific principles and Orlando Health policy and procedures. Shift: Second / VFT. Thursday through Wednesday: 10:00 - 22:30.
Responsibilities- Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Clinical Manager, develop, implement, and maintain clinical pharmacy services at the designated practice site.
- Plan, organize, execute, and monitor clinical pharmacy services designed to improve quality of patient care while effectively utilizing resources.
- Facilitate coordination of activities and responsibilities of the pharmacy department to ensure clinical services are provided with sufficient scope and coverage to meet the needs of the patient population and community served.
- Organize and maintain documentation of clinical activities for pharmacy management and hospital accreditation purposes.
- Conduct clinical practice, such as facilitating verbal and written pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Assist, as applicable, with nutritional support consultations with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare providers.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to clinical practice.
- Support staff pharmacist clinical education and training associated with core competencies.
- Develop policy and procedures, guidelines, and programs encompassing clinical pharmacy services as necessary.
- Participate on multidisciplinary committees, such as the Pharmacotherapy Committee and subcommittees.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Participate in pharmacy and medical resident training through multidisciplinary patient care rounds and formal educational programs (site specific).
- Serve as preceptor to students and interns for affiliated colleges of pharmacy (site specific).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science or Pharm
D) required.
Must be licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years.
ExperienceMust meet one (1) of the following:
Two (2) years completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency or fellowship in specialty area consistent with practice needs of the institution.
One (1) year completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency plus specialty practice experience (1+ years) consistent with the practice needs of the institution.
Five (5) years of clinical pharmacy experience consistent with the practice needs of the institution.
