Overview

Schedule: Per Diem

Compensation: $65 per hour

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible.

Location: Orlando, FL

Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services.

  • As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
  • Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
  • Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
  • Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
  • Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Inform and instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
  • Current State licensure required.
  • BLS if required by State.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
