Essential Functions
- Communicate effectively with all patient populations to gather accurate medication histories.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, family members and others outside the hospital to gather further medication history information.
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills in all communications with patients, team members and other health care providers.
- Accurately document patients’ medication histories in the medical chart.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Attends department meetings, facility in-services, and special corporate events and/or meetings.
- Assumes the responsibility for professional growth and development.
Education/Training
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification
Must be currently registered with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years.
Experience
Two (2) years of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.
