Medical Assistant​/Phlebotomist

As a Medical Assistant, reporting to the Manager, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi‑routine assignments.

• Perform clinical responsibilities: discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines. Additional responsibilities involve performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on active certification.
• Make decisions focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, with latitude over prioritization and timing.
• Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation or deviation.

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• Phlebotomy experience
• This role is patient‑facing and part of the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.

• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
• Value Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

Monday to Friday 8AM – 5PM

Scheduled 40 hours per week

Local travel may be required; mileage is reimbursed.
