Position Overview
Sunshine ABA is seeking experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) located in the Orlando, Florida area to conduct initial assessments and provide in-school and in-home ABA services. Role of the BCBAThe BCBA is responsible for providing high-quality assessments, supervision, and behavioral interventions that lead to meaningful, measurable outcomes for clients and their families.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and ethical standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Oversee and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Develop, implement, and modify Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Analyze data and update behavior plans, goals, objectives, graphs, and supervision documentation on a weekly basis
- Monitor RBT data collection and ensure supervision requirements are met
- Attend weekly clinical meetings and student meetings as appropriate
- Draft comprehensive 6-month progress reports for assigned clients
- Participate in ongoing trainings and professional development opportunities
- Maintain required CEUs per certification cycle
- Prepare reports and clinical documentation as needed
- Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of ABA service delivery experience
- Experience providing ABA services to individuals ages 3–21
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and support staff using Behavior Skills Training (BST)
- Experience conducting initial assessments
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior plans
- Completion of the 8-hour BACB Supervision Training (reflected in the BACB registry)
- Experience providing clinical supervision to RBTs
- Strong data analysis skills, including graphing and data-based decision making
- Working knowledge of AFLS, VB-MAPP, ABLLS, and/or EFL
- Proficiency with technology including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Catalyst
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proper grammar and documentation accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, reliability, and ability to manage crisis situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- BCBA or BCBA-D certification (required)
- Medicaid NPI number (required or willingness to obtain)
- Must be in good standing with the BACB
- Ability to pass all required background checks (criminal history, fingerprinting, APS/CPS as applicable)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working indoors/outdoors.
