AHMG Surgical Physician Assistant, PA-C Urologic Oncology Celebration, FL

Overview

The Surgical Physician Assistant, PA-C in Urologic Oncology at Advent Health Celebration, FL will work under the supervision of a Physician, providing comprehensive urologic care in a clinic and hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform physical examinations and evaluate/treat acute and chronic urologic conditions.
• Treat patients of all ages, both male and female.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory, X‑ray, etc.).
• Monitor patient progress and refer to specialists as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver consistent patient care.
• Maintain a caring, professional attitude and pursue personal/professional growth.
• Document progress notes, procedure notes, histories, physical exams, and transfer/discharge summaries in compliance with medical policies.
• Work a Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm), with potential on‑call and occasional weekend coverage, and may assist in robotic prostatectomies and other urologic surgical cases.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm; 4 days in office, 1 day in OR; holiday rotation; flexible call requirements.

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and hospital personnel.
• Willingness to join a multidisciplinary thoracic surgery program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Pass a third‑party background check and pre‑employment drug screen.

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• At least one year of Urology experience in a surgical/hospital setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

• Current, valid Florida PA license.
• Certification by NCCPA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
