Position Summary
Occupational Therapist / OT position at Orlando Health Lake Mary Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Longwood, FL.

Status: Day Shift | Variable Full Time (36 hours per week)
Shift: Monday - Friday
Title: Occupational Therapist / OT
Location: 521 W State Road 434 Ste 204, Longwood, FL 32750
- Treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through therapeutic use of everyday activities to develop, recover, and improve skills for daily living and work.
- Evaluate patients, gathering data from patients, physicians, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and other sources.
- Develop treatment plans integrated with continuum of care with specific goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for age of patients served on assigned caseload.
- Assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age‑specific needs; provide care as delineated in departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate competency in use, care, and maintenance of profession‑specific equipment, observing safety precautions and providing verbal explanations.
- Re‑evaluate and modify treatment plans and goals as appropriate; prepare written documentation as required.
- Recognize and communicate when patient has received optimal benefit from therapy.
- Ensure complete documentation and accurate billing.
- Adhere to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
- Provide patient/family education as indicated.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
Education / Training:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved occupational therapy program.
Licensure / Certification:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida (temporary permit acceptable).
- Current BLS/Health Care Provider certification.
Experience:
- Open to newly licensed or tenured OTs.

- Programs encompass both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Inpatient Acute Care Therapy offers unit‑based specialized therapists for Oncology/Lymphedema, Neurological Conditions, Stroke, Orthopedics, Limb Loss, Multiple Traumas, and more.
- Outpatient services are operated at our outpatient clinic located in Longwood, FL.
