Job Overview
Phlebotomist – Patient Service Center
We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in a patient‑service setting. Opportunities for continuous growth within the organization are available.
Work ScheduleMonday‑Saturday, as needed. Variable schedule (not to work more than 19 hours in a week).
Job Responsibilities- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Enter patient information accurately and promptly
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months of phlebotomy experience
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Certification or training must be from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary positions are eligible for the 401(k) plan only. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
