Medical Assistant / Scribe – Rose Healthcare Center, Orlando, FL

Address: 6638 Old Winter Garden Road, Orlando, Florida 32385. The facility is located in Oak Hill Village within the Metro West region of Orlando at the corner of Hiawassee Road and Old Winter Garden Road.

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, highly motivated Scribe/Medical Assistant for immediate hire. The role involves supporting physicians, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring accurate documentation in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and verify patient information.
  • Obtain medical histories and vital signs; prepare patients for physical and radiographic examinations.
  • Assist with required testing and physical medical treatment.
  • Cross‑train to complete front‑office duties, such as obtaining insurance authorization, checking patients in and out, communicating wait times, and assisting with referrals.
  • Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and update patient records.
  • Check out patients, assist with billing processes, and manage referral processing.
  • Prepare exam rooms, handle equipment, and clean instruments.
  • Assist physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure exam rooms are fully equipped.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Pre‑professional health education students are welcome.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, pleasant demeanor, and a positive attitude in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multilingual capability (Spanish preferred but not required) is a plus.
  • Motivated, quick learner, and able to maintain focus during fast‑paced tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, patient‑scheduling environment and perform thorough documentation.
  • 40‑hour work week for full‑time positions; part‑time positions available for students.
