About the Role

In this role, you will gain hands-on clinical experience while supporting patient care, assisting with procedures, and helping ensure smooth clinic flow. Compensation

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, certification, and relevant clinical background.

What You'll Do

  • Support providers with daily clinical operations, including patient intake, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures such as injections, dressing changes, and suture/staple removal.
  • Prepare and manage patient charts in Athena, ensuring all labs, imaging, referrals, and documentation are complete and accurate.
  • Escort patients through their visit, provide education on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions, and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment, including proper handling of medical supplies and biohazard materials.
  • Complete required documentation, including EMR updates, lab results, and workers compensation forms (e.g., DWC
    25), accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and team members, responding to calls, messages, and supporting overall clinic flow in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in
    orthopedics
    or another specialty clinic
  • Familiarity with orthopedic procedures, terminology, and workflows
  • Experience with Athena EMR or similar systems

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the day
  • Ability to lift or assist patients as needed
  • Fast-paced clinical setting with frequent patient interaction
  • Exposure to standard medical office equipment and supplies
