Position Summary

The Paramedic serves as the lead clinical provider responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care during ALS and Critical Care transportation. Working closely with our Communications Center, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and fellow clinicians, the Paramedic ensures patients receive exceptional care throughout every stage of transport.

Our teams specialize in transporting patients between hospitals, specialty care centers, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers, making clinical expertise and professionalism essential to success.

Essential Responsibilities Clinical Care
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
  • Deliver advanced life support interventions within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes during transport.
  • Utilize appropriate medical equipment, medications, and treatment protocols.
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout transport.
Transport Operations
  • Safely operate and position emergency vehicles with a commitment to public safety.
  • Coordinate effectively with Dispatch, healthcare facilities, and receiving providers.
  • Prepare, package, and transport patients according to established procedures.
  • Maintain readiness for scheduled and emergent transport requests.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete thorough and accurate electronic patient care reports.
  • Maintain compliance with state, local, and organizational standards.
  • Stay current on medical protocols, equipment usage, and industry best practices.
Equipment & Fleet Readiness
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory and supply levels.
  • Report equipment damage, shortages, or operational concerns promptly.
  • Ensure ambulances remain clean, organized, and mission-ready.
Professionalism
  • Build positive relationships with patients, families, healthcare partners, and coworkers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
