Overview
Guest Service Associate: provide exceptional hospitality services to guests, manage parking and luggage, and deliver directions and information.
Responsibilities- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor; greet guests within five feet and use guest last names.
- Use the salutation of the day, welcome guests, and practice proper phone etiquette.
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely, drive slowly, assist with luggage, open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about facilities, meeting rooms, and local attractions.
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities; shuttle guests to approved locations.
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue and collect claim checks; record ticket information, including key tags, folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
- Calculate and collect revenue from vehicles when required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance.
- One month of related experience or training.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
- Ability to read and write standard English; understand simple instructions and correspondences.
- Basic math: add and subtract three-digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, use U.S. currency units.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time; comprehend rates applicable to time passed.
- Manual transmission operation highly desirable; ability to perform parallel parking.
The job is routine; follows established practices and procedures. Decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines; errors in judgment could affect the efficient operation of the department.
Compensation & Schedule- Hourly base pay: $15 per hour plus $3–$5 per hour in tips.
- Work schedule includes overnight shifts and weekends.
- Accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan (subject to eligibility).
- Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for the benefits listed above.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, or stand for extended periods; may run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Requires good vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly.
- Outdoor work for extended periods; exposure to extreme heat and cold; weather protection may be provided.
- Travel up to 5% may be required.
