Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department with various operational tasks. This position assists with the management of employee records, coordination of recruitment activities, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Director of Human Resources by serving as a liaison between employees and management, and playing a key role in maintaining an efficient and effective Human Resources function within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and ordering background and drug screens
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems with accuracy
  • Coordinate employee onboarding process and orientation program
  • Provide support in administering employee benefits and compensation plans
  • Facilitate employee training and development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters
  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports and metrics
  • Organize and manage HR documentation and filing systems
  • Support performance management and employee evaluation processes
  • Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Academic:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Basic:

  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in a Human Resources role or related administrative position required
  • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR software and systems
  • Familiarity with HR Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
  • Reliability and trustworthiness with ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Certification in HR (eg. PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
  • Experience in employee relations and conflct resolution desired
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service-oriented attitude
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
