Auto Pay Plus is looking for a Human Resources Specialist who enjoys connecting with people, creating a great candidate and new hire experience, staying organized, and helping build an engaging workplace culture.

What You’ll DoRecruiting & Candidate Experience- Create and post engaging job opportunities through our HRIS/ATS, job boards, social media, company website, and professional organizations when appropriate.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct HR phone screens to evaluate experience, communication skills, interest, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position.
- Keep candidates informed and provide a professional, responsive experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Maintain accurate candidate notes, recruiting activity, and status updates within the HRIS/ATS.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and other members of the interview team.
- Manage interview scheduling, calendars, candidate communication, and related logistics.
- Coordinate background screenings and other required pre-employment steps.
- Help create a smooth transition from accepted offer to first day and beyond.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding requirements and documentation.
- Conduct new hire orientation and introduce employees to company policies, procedures, culture, resources, and systems.
- Facilitate new employee training sessions.
- Partner with managers and departments to help new employees successfully transition into their positions.
HR should be about more than paperwork.
You’ll work alongside the HR team to develop and coordinate activities that help employees feel recognized, appreciated, and connected.
This may include:
- Employee Appreciation Day
- Employee recognition activities
- Engagement and retention initiatives
- Other HR programs designed to strengthen the employee experience
- Maintain accurate, complete, confidential, and up‑to‑date employee records.
- Manage employee documentation within the HRIS and applicable personnel files.
- Support additional HR projects and initiatives based on business needs.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, communicating with candidates and employees, balancing multiple priorities, and keeping the details organized.
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a similar role.
- Hands‑on understanding of the full recruiting cycle, including job posting, resume review, phone screening, interview coordination, candidate selection, and pre‑employment processing.
- Experience working with an HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking System.
- Experience coordinating onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee training.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, recognition, retention, or company events.
- Strong phone interviewing and candidate communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
