Senior Network Engineer

Overview

The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos currently has openings for a Network Engineer to work in our Orlando, FL office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a Juniper SSR SD-WAN implementation, working with stakeholders to bring new capabilities onto the network, and creating service-based routing to allow for network optimization.

• Provide Network Engineering support to include planning, designing, and evaluating specific network architecture.
• Architect and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Juniper network hardware and software.
• Develop and manage policies and profiles to optimize application delivery and security.
• Work with Tier 2 Managers to establish regular monitoring of network devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.
• Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Support Classified IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.

• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to troubleshoot enterprise applications such as DNS, DHCP, and E-mail.
• Experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing/Switching.
• Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s Degree with 3+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

• Juniper Certified or Cisco Certified.
• Red Hat support experience.
• SD-WAN experience.
• Prior experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
• Previous experience working on complex multi-domain systems.
• Experience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolio.
• Experience with design of Cloud and Edge Computing and Network.
