Sr. Cloud Architect / Administrator
Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:
* Responsibilities include designing cloud architectures and environments; supporting migration, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications and data; and administering cloud infrastructure and services across development, test, and production environments. The Cloud Architect / Administrator ensures cloud solutions comply with DoD, Army, and Federal cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and applicable security controls.
* Additional duties include managing cloud configurations, access controls, and monitoring; supporting automation, backup, and disaster recovery solutions; tracking cloud performance, availability, and cost metrics; and supporting interface and data integration across enterprise systems. The role supports development and review of cloud-related technical documentation, architectures, and standards and collaborates with systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, developers, and program managers to support integration and sustainment activities.
Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):
* 10 years of experience designing, implementing, or administering cloud-based systems within a DoD, Federal, or large enterprise environment
* Demonstrated experience with:
* Cloud architecture and administration (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar platforms)
* Cloud migration and system integration
* Identity and access management
* Monitoring, logging, and performance management
* Cloud security and compliance support
* Active TS/SCI Clearance required
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):
* Experience supporting enterprise transformation or digital modernization initiatives
* Familiarity with:
* Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD pipelines
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
* NIST, RMF, and Federal cloud security requirements
* Cloud certifications such as:
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect
* Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
* Cloud Security certifications
